Indian Ocean Oil & Gas 2011 showcases oil, gas and energy ventures and potential across this vast and diverse region, including the frontiers of Southern and Eastern Africa, the prospective island states offshore mainland Africa (Madagascar, Seychelles, Comoros, Mauritius, Juan de Nova), the fast-emerging Horn and Red Sea, and Southern Arabian offshore around Yemen and Oman, to the critical Gulf of Hormuz, along the littoral of Iran to Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia, plus Western Australia.
